PSG travel to Naples to play their fourth UEFA Champions League game of the season. Paris Saint-Germain is in a tough situation in their group and they will have to play to win on Tuesday.

SSC Napoli have been in great form recently. Sitting joint second with Inter in Serie A, Carlo Ancelotti’s men ran riot over Empoli on Saturday scoring 5 and conceding one, with Belgian International Dries Mertens scoring a stunning hat-trick. Napoli has been ruthless at home having scored at  least once in each of their last 21 home games in all competitions. PSG will have to put on a spectacular and heroic display at the Stadio San Paolo in order to return home with a win.

The French Champions currently sit third in their UEFA Champions League group, a point behind Napoli and two behind group leaders Liverpool. A loss against Napoli will make things very difficult for The Parisians later on in the competition risking their chances to progress further from the group stages. The Qatari club has spent billions in order to strengthen their squad with the sole objective of winning Europe’s most prestigious competition. If PSG don’t qualify from the group stages, this will be their worst performance in the competition so far.

Lets have a look at how Paris Saint-Germain may line-up for this extremely important Champions League clash against SSC Napoli.

1. Goalkeeper – Gianluigi Buffon

Antero Henrique masterminded the arrival of Juventus and Italy goalkeeping legend Gianluigi Buffon to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. The 40-year-old doesn’t seem to stop and the amount of experience he has gained over the years is going to help whichever team he plays for. Buffon was banned for 3 games after his red card last season and is now available for selection after serving his match ban. PSG coach Thomas Tuchel also confirmed that the Italian will start against Napoli. Having played against the Partenopei for so many years while at Juventus, Buffon is familiar with what Napoli can do and the atmosphere at the Stadio San Paolo. The veteran will have a very important role  in preparing his team mentally.
