Thorgan Hazard, the younger brother of Eden Hazard, has spoken out about the eldest’s future with Chelsea.
Eden Hazard is known for being one of, if not the best player in the Premier League. He consistently comes up with the goods for Chelsea, and the fans couldn’t be more delighted. That said, it’s understandable that they are fearing the worst.
The Belgian’s contract runs out at the end of next season. Although you could argue that’s plenty of time, the London club won’t want to fall down the same trap their rivals Arsenal has. They need to get it sorted sooner rather than later.
That’s why recent news from football.london doesn’t come as a delight to the fans. They have reported that Thorgan Hazard believes Eden will make his decision at the end of this season.
“I think Eden will see what happens at the end of the season.” – Thorgan Hazard
We can all claim to know a lot about Eden Hazard judging by what we see from released videos, but nobody knows him more than his family. Maybe he does have the thought at the back of his mind, but we won’t know until the end of the season.
It’s not ideal for Chelsea to lose out on their most coveted player. But if he does decide he wants to leave, then they need to be looking into replacements and selling him fast. Ageing at 27 and being one of the world’s best players, he isn’t going to go cheaply.

In case you didn’t know, Hazard is looking even better under Maurizio Sarri. I know, it didn’t seem possible, right? Well, the Italian manager has come in and allowed him to transcend his World Cup form onto English soil.
With Chelsea looking to mount a title challenge this season, it’s important that no upsets happen along the way. Hazard will be respected by the fans if he keeps his head down and focuses on the task ahead, which I don’t predict him to do otherwise.
He’s a very committed player, and he’s caused no drama behind the scenes during his time. Even with the whole Antonio Conte situation, Hazard remained loyal and gave the fans a glimmer of hope.
However, when Real Madrid come knocking, it’s not always easy to turn them down. That said, don’t be surprised to see this saga take even more twists and turns as time progresses.
