That guy Welbz could be on his way out of Arsenal…
Danny Welbeck is running out of contract at Arsenal. It doesn’t look likely that the club is desperate to keep him, which is a shame to see. Although he’s a talented striker in his own right, there’s no denying he’s fallen out of favour with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
That said, it’s no surprise to see him being linked with moves elsewhere. During the summer, fans were constantly reading from the tabloids that he would move to Turkey. However, The Sun has linked him with a £10m move to Crystal Palace.

In case you didn’t know, Welbeck has been extremely reliable for Arsenal this season. He’s spent a lot of time on the bench, but whenever he has been introduced, he’s made an impact. Don’t believe everything you used to read about him being impactless, because that’s been made redundant.
That said, Welbeck would be an incredible addition for Crystal Palace. They need somebody to partner Wilfried Zaha on a goal scoring front, if they are to be taken seriously. And while Welbeck will feel like the Eagles are below his level, he would certainly come up with the goods on a regular basis with them.
The question just remains whether or not Unai Emery will be looking to sell the Englishman. Who knows, perhaps Arsenal’s new head coach is happy with an abundance of attacking options. I mean, I know I would be.
Welbeck has never been one to kick up a fuss over the amount of game time he is getting. He would be in the right place to do that right now, but it’s just not a personality trait of his. He always keeps a smile on his face, and keeps the positive energy flowing, unlike a particular Chilean player.
Welbeck is a fast player, using his speed to his advantage on many occasions. He likes to burst forward with the ball at his feet as opposed to without. His movement off the ball could do with some work if he is to become a complete striker, but as of now, he could definitely do a job.
Roy Hodgson has experience of working with Danny Welbeck on the international stage. That said, it’s no surprise to see the former England coach interested in signing him. They’ll have the upper hand too, given Welbeck’s contract situation.
