Midfielder- Arturo Vidal- 6/10

Arturo Vidal was introduced to the scene at the San Siro in the 75th minute. The Chilean midfielder did not have enough time to make an impact, but he did settle into the game and help the midfielders in playing the ball around and forward as the Catalans were looking to score.

More from FC Barcelona

The former Bayern Munich player is slowly getting back into the fray and by gradually improving, he could be an asset for Ernesto Valverde’s team.

Forward- Malcom Oliviera- 7/10

Malcom replaced Ousmane Dembele on the 81st minute of the match in order to try to make an impact. It was one of his handful number of appearances this season under Ernesto Valverde. The 21-year-old scored a goal that secured Barcelona’s qualification into the round of 16 of the Champions League on his debut in the competition. Malcom looked very good on the ball as well and linked up nicely with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.

Manager- Ernesto Valverde- 7/10

Ernesto Valverde’s tactical setup in the game was pretty customary and does not have any extraordinary appeal. While not risking Lionel Messi was a great decision, the manager went with a very straightforward line-up but starting Dembele over Rafinha was a slightly questionable decision given the differences in form. In addition to that, the 54-year-old made only two substitutions and left them really late. Had he brought on defensive cover after taking the lead in the latter stages, the match would have ended in a different result in all probability.
