Left Back- Sergio Reguilon- 7.5/10

Sergio Reguilon started a third successive match and put forward another very good display. The 21-year-old did well defensively and was impeded on most occasions rather than going forward too often. However, when he did attack, Reguilon was composed on the ball and played his bit really well. Marcelo is surely not going to return for the Celta Vigo fixture on the weekend, so Reguilon will get another chance to prove his qualities.

Centre Back- Sergio Ramos- 7/10

Sergio Ramos was not called into action on many occasions and gave out a satisfactory performance in the Czech Republic. The Real Madrid captain played for only one hour and was later withdrawn for Javi Sanchez as Solari kept one eye on the Celta Vigo match on Sunday. Ramos made some decent tackles and interceptions whilst passing the ball forward really well. There is nothing really to add about his performance that was so simple.

Centre Back- Nacho Fernandez- 7/10

As was his central defending partner Sergio Ramos, Nacho Fernandez was not called into much action either. However, the Spain international was going to concede an own goal after one of Viktoria Plzen’s shots deflected off him and onto the crossbar. Otherwise, it was a fairly average and subtle outing for the 28-year-old.

Right Back- Alvaro Odriozola- 6.5/10

Alvaro Odriozola stayed back as did his full back partner Sergio Reguilon. The former Real Sociedad defender made some good tackles and interceptions but did not do much to support Lucas Vazquez down the right hand side. Odriozola did go forward on sparing occasions, but his ball control and final balls let him down. The 21-year-old has performed a lot better in recent weeks, so this performance was a let off.
