Left Winger- Gareth Bale- 8/10

Gareth Bale was deployed as a left winger on Wednesday’s clash, a contrasting position to his otherwise fancied role of a right winger. The Welshman put forth a really good performance, something that was long due from his part. The former Spurs’ forward struck a goal with a nicely driven finish after teeing up Karim Benzema’s goal. Bale will surely look to improve on his displays and knit a streak of scoring form now that he has looked good against Plzen.

Striker- Karim Benzema- 9/10

Karim Benzema continued picking up his good form and put in a marvelous staging at the Doosan Arena. The 30-year-old opened the scoring for Real Madrid with a wonderful solo strike and moved to goal number 200 in a Real Madrid shirt. His second was a simple header that was scored before setting up Gareth Bale’s goal. Benzema made used his chances to the fullest and Solari probably made a harsh decision to withdraw him before his hat-trick, which Benzema was only a goal shy of.

Right Winger- Lucas Vazquez- 7.5/10

It was an average performance from the Spain international who has been used really often by Santiago Solari. Lucas Vazquez kept threatening Plzen’s defenders by making good runs in the box and showed his usual step-overs as well as he ran past several men. He should have gotten an assist but it wasn’t to bay, thanks to Bale’s shot which missed the goal. Vazquez also had a goal ruled out for offside.
