Defender- Javi Sanchez- 7/10

Javi Sanchez made his Champions League debut for Real Madrid after replacing Sergio Ramos on the stroke of the hour. The 21-year-old used his physical ability to shrug off Plzen’s attackers off the ball. Javi Sanchez put in a really good display and made Solari believe that he could be a go-to option in the lack of availability of central defenders.

More from Real Madrid

Midfielder- Isco- 6.5/10

Isco came on for 10-15 minutes in the second half and did his bit really well. It was a pity that Isco could not play a bigger role and had to be the only one probing after the game was done and dusted. The former Malaga midfielder was slowing down counter-attacks on several occasions, but nonetheless, Isco put in a commendable shift.

Forward- Vinicius Junior- 8/10

Vinicius Junior played half an hour more and once again mesmerized after playing on the left wing. His dribbling and decision-making were the stand out qualities as always, and it helped him in assisting Kroos’ goal. Vinicius has been improving with every minute that he has been playing, and so Solari should give him a chance from the start in a league game.

Manager- Santiago Solari- 8/10

Santiago Solari put his tactical setup in an expected and direct manner. The 42-year-old took the decision of not starting Navas and went for Courtois in goal, which I felt was a little harsh. Otherwise, everything was really good. Maybe Benzema could have stayed on and tried to complete his hat-trick and Bale may have been withdrawn instead of the Frenchman. His substitutes also did the job well.
