Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all looking to overhaul their respective squads during the January transfer window which begins in less than two months.

Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan is one of the world’s most budding central defenders. The 23-year-old is a superb player with great physique and agility. When it comes to tackling opponents, it is usually on-point and filled with 100% accuracy. Usually a central defender, Skriniar can also play as a defensive midfielder.

The Slovakia international made his way into the footballing world through the youth systems of Zilina. In 2017, Milan Skriniar completed a transfer to San Siro by joining Inter Milan from Sampdoria, and since then he has turned out be a massive success and has also been likened to his compatriot and former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

Since his signing for Nerazzuri, Skriniar has made 41 appearances across all competitions and is turning out be a real hit on their books. Having displayed sparks of going on to do big in his career, the defender has been debited with interest from the Europe’s biggest teams, which include Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

While Jose Mourinho’s outfit is looking to commission a central defender into its squad, Barcelona and Real Madrid are searching for an ideal competitor to their veterans- Gerard Pique and Sergio Ramos. However, the three clubs have learnt the price of their prime target after Luciano Spalleti insisted that he won’t let his man leave for less than 100 million euros.

"If it’s Barcelona, they will have to pay €100m and if I am them I would pay a €20m tip on top,” the Inter boss said. “And if I’m Real Madrid, the [€100m] with a €40m tip — that is how highly I rate Skriniar.” In addition to this, there was no word provided on how much Manchester United will be charged."

Irrespective of Luciano Spalleti’s comments, the three European superpowers are expected to be keeping tabs on Skriniar’s development. If the player wants to leave for greener pastures, the club will certainly not be in a position to demand 100 million euros from any suitor. But somewhere in the range 80 million euros for the 23-year-old sounds reasonable.
