Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal has not kept his desire of playing in the Premier League a secret, but he could be heading to England shortly.

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has some Premier League offers that have come this way, according to Spanish media outlet Sport English. The right-back has been in a stunning run of form but has had himself ruled out over the last few weeks due to an injury. Carvajal worked with the main group since Thursday and is in contention to feature against Celta Vigo over the weekend.

More from Real Madrid

The 26-year-old has reportedly been part of rifts in the dressing room and was strongly against the sacking of Julen Lopetegui. In addition to that, Dani Carvajal’s comments about the recently fired manager have not gone down well among the Real Madrid board members as well as a few players. With that said, Dani Carvajal might also be open to an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu given his desire to play in the Premier League.

The situation is not clear as things stand but there is a 50-50 chance of Dani Carvajal’s exit from the Spanish capital. The name of the Premier League club that has come with an offer for Dani has not been revealed but there is a strong sense that it could be amongst the top six big teams in the English top flight.  However, if Madrid is going to sell Carvajal, then they will be in a position to demand high transfer fees because of the right back’s contract at the club lasting till 2022.

Opinion

Dani Carvajal has more than three years to run on his contract and given his quality and potential to grow into one of the world’s best player in his position, Real Madrid should not let him go for less than 308 million euros, his release clause, in the worst case scenario. The 26-year-old’s profile perfectly suits Real Madrid’s and on top of that, Carvajal has played an integral role in each of the Whites’ last four UEFA Champions League triumphs.

There is enough cover for Dani Carvajal in the Spanish capital with the likes of Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho capable of playing at right back. At times, Lucas Vazquez has also been favoured in the defensive role whereas the club also has its hands on Achraf Hakimi, currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund. But Carvajal is the best possible player for Los Blancos, so selling him would not be a right call.
