Real Madrid are planning to ensure that Eden Hazard and James Rodriguez team up for them in the next season. They are now plotting for the same!
Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez left the club on loan for Bayern Munich in the summer 2017 on an agreement of two years. After doing well in his first season under Carlo Ancelotti and Jupp Heynckes, James has struggled to keep a good record under Niko Kovac. There is also a reportedly stern relationship between both of them, and the Colombian has made only eight appearances in the Bundesliga so far.

Zinedine Zidane, who was not a big fan of James Rodriguez left the club last summer after guiding them to a third straight UEFA Champions League title and Julen Lopetegui was fired just four months after his appointment. Santiago Solari is now the team’s interim manager and has been tipped to take over as the permanent boss at the Santiago Bernabeu’s helm after some really good results.
As a result, he is considering calling back James Rodriguez from his loan, according to the Express UK. The former Monaco midfielder was not preferred in his previous two seasons by Zizou and fell down in the pecking order below Cristiano Ronaldo, Marco Asensio, Isco and Gareth Bale. However, Ronaldo is not at the club anymore, whereas Asensio and Isco are struggling to get the goals which might give James a gilt-edged opportunity to make some space of his own self.
While the Colombia international may not be the answer to Real Madrid’s goal scoring woes, he can certainly score 10 or 15 goals per season. In addition to his arrival, the Whites are going to continue their chase of Eden Hazard and are confident of being able to sign him. The 27-year-old has been a long-term target for them but they did not approach him last summer probably because they can get him for cheaper in the next one.
James Rodriguez and Eden Hazard will surely be magnificent together irrespective of whether they play. James could play on the right wing if Gareth Bale is potentially sold because of his inconsistency, whereas Eden Hazard may be utilized down the left flank as usual. As it is, the defending European champions need to eventually replace Luka Modric, so James may be a good option even though he is not a like-for-like choice.
