Manchester City beat Manchester United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening to ensure top spot in the PL standings before the international break.
Manchester City delivered a masterclass against Manchester United as they sealed top spot before heading into a fortnight of international matches. The Citizens’ shimmering goal scoring form continued after David Silva scored early on for Pep’s men. It was the Spaniard’s third successive game with a goal. Just three minutes after half-time, Sergio Aguero scored goal no. 8 of his Manchester Derby tally.

Romelu Lukaku was summoned in by Jose Mourinho and he quickly earned a penalty which Anthony Taylor had no hesitation in giving.
