Midfielder- Arturo Vidal- 7/10

Things would have been really different for Barcelona had the Chilean midfielder made a start because it really seemed like his day after coming on the in the second half. Arturo Vidal scored a goal to make it 3-2 Barcelona and also assisted Lionel Messi in stoppage time. He did take time to settle into the match but it would have been something else had Vidal started.

More from FC Barcelona

Midfielder- Carles Alena- 6/10

Sergio Busquets withdrawal meant that Carles Alena could come into the match for about twenty minutes. The La Masia product made some interceptions and tackles and also outclassed Busquets’ performance on the day within 20 minutes of his coming. Alena surely deserves some more playing time with the senior team.

Forward- Munir El Haddadi- 5/10

Munir El Haddadi came on in the 57th minute as Barcelona were looking to turn things around. The striker was not able to play in his preferred role of a centralised player, but he did make some effort to drag Barcelona back in the game. The fact that he was caught offside a number of times was different, but he did assist Arturo Vidal’s goal very unselfishly.

Manager- Ernesto Valverde- 5/10

A lot of Barcelona fans can go on and on about ranting how Ernesto Valverde’s pathetic man management and tactical decisions have cost their team and rightly so. Switching sides of Arthur and Rakitic was an unnecessary stunt in itself, as was withdrawing Malcom at half-time and played Vidal in a winger’s role in which he was uncomfortable. The 54-year-old is not correctly using his resources and Barcelona must consider options before handing him another contract.
