Left Back- Sergio Reguilon- 6/10

Sergio Reguilon’s marathon of minutes under Santiago Solari came to a harsh end as he was substituted with an injury just ahead of half-time. For nearly half the match that he played, Reguilon was looking really good. His connection with Gareth Bale on the left was dangerous as were his crosses into the box. Madrid could have scored more if Reguilon had stayed on.

Centre Back- Sergio Ramos- 8/10

A functional display by Sergio Ramos on Sunday evening was enough in keeping Iago Aspas silent throughout the 90 minutes. The Real Madrid captain was careful with what he did during the game and looked extremely composed at the back. The highlight of his match was certainly the goal from the penalty spot, a panenka that was his third from five penalties this season.

Centre Back- Nacho Fernandez- 7/10

Nacho Fernandez dislocated his knee ligament and had to be forced off 20 minutes from time. The 28-year-old looked extremely distraught after the injury but he did impress in the time that he was on the field for. Nacho made some great tackles and interceptions in addition to nullifying Maxi Gomez’s threat. Thankfully, the defender is likely to be back soon after the international break.

Right Back- Alvaro Odriozola- 8/10

Alvaro Odriozola was on the supplying end of yet another majestic performance under Santiago Solari. The right back’s pace helped him run up and down the wing and cover a lot of distance. Odriozola was not called into defensive action for many occasions so he had the freedom to enter the final third at will. His interconnection with Benzema is amazing. The 22-year-old also earned a penalty.
