4. Mbappe is more consistent and reliable

Consistency is key. While Neymar is a very consistent player, I can’t help but feel that Mbappe is the most consistent of the two. I reached this conclusion by taking into account all of his performances this season, including his World Cup campaign with France. France won the competition due to their enthusiasm, which Mbappe was largely a part of.

Real Madrid needs more young players to come in and add a new dynamic, but those players must be consistent. Los Blancos can rely on Mbappe should he join, as he doesn’t just come up with the goods at club level. It’s easy to look at him and draw the infamous conclusion “but he’s playing in a farmers league”. However, not many can go out there and shine on the international front. Particularly with France.

Neymar is a good player for Brazil, don’t get me wrong, but he’s nowhere near the level Mbappe is for France. Their statistics alone shows this. This season, including the World Cup, Mbappe has scored nine goals for France, whereas Neymar has scored just six for Brazil. I mean, that’s by no means a bad problem to have. Neymar’s record is desirable for most players, but you get what I mean.

Plus, there’s always the problem being run with Neymar. If things aren’t going his way, then he’s bound to throw a tantrum. Mbappe, on the other hand, uses his consistency to his advantage and avoids the need for tantrums.
