5. Mbappe is a LOT more versatile

Whenever I say ‘I don’t know what his best asset is’, I usually mean it in a bad way. But with Mbappe, I mean it in the best possible way. He’s literally good at everything, so it’s hard to tell what his best asset is.

His pace? Brilliant. His finishing? Superb. His intelligence? Extraordinary. His passing? Amazing. You get the point, I don’t want to have to get out my thesaurus and bore you all.

More from Real Madrid

I look at Mbappe and I see a young Thierry Henry. I know, I know. That comparison is cliche. But take it from me, a die-hard Arsenal fan, this boy has what it takes to reach the heights in which Henry reached.

When Henry was at Monaco, he played as a striker. However, upon signing for Arsenal, he was converted to a striker. The rest is history. Mbappe has what it takes to play in either position, but I think his best position is as a striker. He has the pace to play out wide, and he has the finishing and goal scorer’s instinct to play up front.

It’s not often that a player of Mbappe’s age, particularly a winger of this age, has an immense footballing IQ. But Mbappe defies all odds, and that’s why Real Madrid must sign him. When Benzema begins to reach the end of his career, they will have an internal backup in Mbappe, who has experience of playing as a striker.

Do you think Real Madrid should sign Mbappe or Neymar?
