Manchester City are always in the transfer market looking to strengthen their squad. This time they’ve taken note of Real Madrid’s situation with Isco.
Real Madrid appointed Santiago Solari as their permanent manager last week after firing Julen Lopetegui just over four months into his tenure as the Whites’ boss. The new coach has delivered amazing results and sent Real Madrid on their way to four wins on the trot, thereby instantly winning over the fans, players and the board.

However, there may be one particular player who could be unhappy under the 42 year old’s regimes in Isco Alarcon. The midfielder featured almost regularly when Julen Lopetegui was in charge of the club but he has fallen down the pecking order with Santiago Solari. Isco has played only 53 minutes out of a possible 360 over the last four matches.
According to claims, one club which has been alerted by Isco’s situation at Real Madrid is Manchester City. The Citizens are rampant in the Premier League and have probably the best and deepest squad in the world. However, Pep Guardiola is always looking for inflows and has targeted Isco on several occasions earlier as well.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager seems to have taken note of the playmaker’s state at the Santiago Bernabeu now and may want to try for a swoop in January. As it is, Pep is thought to be a big fan of Isco and the 26-year-old will certainly fly high under the Man City manager’s authority.
Isco is considered to be out of shape by Santiago Solari, as per Dani Ceballos, but what is unclear is if the manager means from a physically bulged perspective or a fitness point of view given that Isco recently had a surgery for appendicitis. Nonetheless, it is expected that the silky attacker will play a vital role in the season as matters get busier.
As it is, the former Malaga midfielder has been widely linked with an exit from the Spanish capital on several occasions, but he has stayed put. After all, he was one of their leading forces in the last two Champions League victories and the Whites will do everything to keep him. In all honesty, it does not look like Isco will leave, but he should play more often at Real.
Do you think Isco will move to Manchester City in 2019?
