The out of favour midfielder could be looking for a new club this January.

Barcelona have signed some fantastic players over the years. The club often looks for players they know can make an impact at the club and adapt to their style of football.

One such player is Denis Suarez, who the club signed from Villarreal back in 2016. The promising Spanish midfielder showed great promise on the pitch, using his Messi-like dribbling abilities and quick movement to cause problems for the opposition.

Unfortunately, Suarez has been fazed out of the picture by some new signings. Arthur and Arturo Vidal both signed for Barcelona recently and play in a role that Suarez would occupy.

Arthur, in particular, is quite the fan favourite, so it is hard seeing him getting the boot any time soon. Vidal, on the other hand, has had some issues. He has lost fitness and his impact on the field has been reduced.

Denis Suarez still believes his short-lived stint at Barcelona is coming to an end, however, and is looking to leave in the upcoming January transfer window. Being just 24, Suarez should certainly be playing regular first-team football, so his desire to move does make sense.

One possible destination would be Arsenal, who will also be parting ways with a central midfielder in January. Welshman Aaron Ramsey will be heading to a new club, leaving Arsenal with space for a new signing.

Bringing in a player of Denis Suarez’ talents and resume would be huge for Arsenal. The price tag would be a bit of a concern in today’s market, but anything under £40 million would be worth discussing.

Suarez could be brought into the Arsenal team to play the number 10 role, pushing Ozil out wide left while sticking Aubameyang wide right and Lacazette up top. Emery would have the option of bringing Mkhitaryan or Iwobi off the bench to influence the attack if needed as well.

If Barcelona does decide to sell Denis Suarez this winter, it would not be surprising if more than a handful of clubs came knocking. The talent Suarez possesses makes him a great investment for any club, even if he can only secure a loan deal.
