Real Madrid failed to pick up a win for a fifth match on the bounce and was completely battered by SD Eibar at the Ipurua Stadium.

Real Madrid was defeated 3-0 by Eibar in the Ipurua on Saturday afternoon. The Whites fell 1-0 behind ahead of half-time through a goal from Gonzalo Escalante. Sergi Enrich added another in the second half but it still looked like there was life in the visiting team. However, Kike Garcia struck once more to deliver the hammer blow on an absolutely pathetic performance by the Whites.

The loss against Eibar was Real Madrid’s first ever against them and it continues their horrible streak on Basque turf this season, they have picked up only a point out of nine possible in that region of Spain. Santiago Solari’s men sit at sixth place anyway, but it’s dismal for them that they went returned home empty-handed and at the back of such a bad display knowing that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona were playing later in the day.

A lot of questions need to be raised about certain Real Madrid players, Thibaut Courtois and Marco Asensio in particular. Before the defending European champions head to Italy to contest their UEFA Champions League match against AS Roma, let us have a look at the player ratings from the game.

Goalkeeper- Thibaut Courtois- 4/10

To say the least, Thibaut Courtois has been horrible for Real Madrid since arriving and a complete waste of 35 million precious euros. The Belgium international has done no good since arriving at Real Madrid and shipped in 18 goals in the league already until this point. Courtois is not good enough to start for Real Madrid and let his Golden Gloves not deceive you. Navas was and is better than this guy!
