Left Winger- Marco Asensio- 5/10

Marco Asensio’s comments during the international break raised a lot of doubts regarding his attitude, but Santiago Solari decided to start the Majorcan forward down the left wing. The 22-year-old was not on top of his game by any means and struggled during the match to make an impact. Asensio did put in two or three crosses but they were dealt with easily. Marco has to make an effort to gain his form back or Real Madrid may consider selling him whilst the stock is high.

Striker- Karim Benzema- 6/10

Similar to Luka Modric, Karim Benzema was one of the scapegoats in most of Real Madrid’s losses this season. The 30-year-old did not have a very good afternoon on the pitch in any way, but he did try and make an impact and was hands down the best player for the Whites in the attacking unit.

Benzema’s streak of scoring came to an end in Eibar as he was nullified by the defense well but he will be having the pressure to be amongst the goals in Real Madrid’s trip to Rome this week.

Right Winger- Gareth Bale- 5/10

Gareth Bale was expected to be the man to succeed Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid but he certainly lacks the leadership. There were questions raised about that very characteristic of the Welshman since his Portuguese counterpart departed Spain, but Florentino Perez failed to react in the transfer market. Bale’s performance at Eibar was horrible to say the least and displayed horrible first touches, poor passes and what not.
