Defender- Dani Carvajal- 6/10

Dani Carvajal made his return from injury and played nearly 35 minutes at the Ipurua. The Spain international showed no signs of rustiness and he probably could have been in the starting eleven as he made an impact in the latter stages. Carvajal’s defending was good and his contribution in the final third also looked pretty okay.

More from Real Madrid

Midfielder- Isco- 5/10

Isco played the final half an hour but failed to make an impact like the rest of the midfielders. His ball holding did do some grace to Real Madrid and he was able to shrug off the challenges, but the passing let the midfielder down. In such a match, Isco’s inclusion would have been fruitful to Santiago Solari’s team.

Forward- Vinicius Junior- 5/10

Vinicius Junior was unleashed in the final 15 minutes and was the final substitution made by Santiago Solari. The manager was hoping that the Eibar defenders would be tired and that the 18-year-old asset could use its pace from the left-hand side. But Solari’s prediction was wrong and even Vinicius Junior could not take the ball forward through his speed.

Manager- Santiago Solari- 8/10

The Real Madrid manager’s 4 match winning streak came to an end against the least predictable opponent. However, it was not the 42-year-old’s fault that his team was not doing well against Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side. Solari put in the perfect starting eleven(only Marco Asensio’s inclusion was surprising given Lucas Vazquez’s form) and also made the correct changes. The manager surely does not deserve the blame for this loss.

If Real Madrid’s problems go unsolved even with Santiago Solari, is the problem with the transfer activities, or the lack of it?
