LW; Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been absolutely incredible for Juventus this season. In fact, it would be pretty reasonable to say that he is the reason Juventus currently holds a large lead atop the Serie A table and sits in first in Group H. He is currently tied for first in the Serie A Capocannoniere race with 9 goals scored. He has also added 5 assists this season and one Champions League goal against Manchester United. He has been one of Juve’s only consistent attacking options this season and he’ll probably need to be the once to create a goal for Juve in this one too. He’ll be looking for revenge after the ridiculous red card he got in the first match and an angry Ronaldo is a scary thought.

ST: Mario Mandzukic

More from Serie A

Mario Mandzukic is in the midst of his best season so far with Juventus. He has already scored 6 goals and has been the only real target Juve has had in the middle of the attack. He has put his size and finishing ability to good use this season. When he is missing, Juve’s wings just send in aimless crosses, but he gives them somebody to get the ball to and it gives the attack a real focal point. He has also added 2 assists this season. He has worked well in combination with Ronaldo and should give Valencia’s defense a lot of problems.

RW: Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala was given the day off on Saturday and probably should be again on Tuesday. If Juve was in another formation a Dybala start would be fine, but very start he has gotten on the right wing has been a waste. He simply isn’t suited to playing this position. Unfortunately, Massimiliano Allegri is committed to trying to force Dybala into the lineup.

He’ll be forced into the lineup again here and it probably won’t be a good use of the position.
