5. Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain)

Alright, this one’s probably not going to happen, let’s be honest. But when you’re looking at replacements for Eden Hazard available on the market, there aren’t much better than Neymar. In fact, some would even argue that Neymar is a significant upgrade on Hazard, which doesn’t come around easy.

Neymar is also undergoing some uncertainty. It only feels like yesterday that PSG signed him, but he seems to be linked with a move away every transfer window. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it Chelsea fans?

More from Chelsea FC

Eden Hazard recently said that he would never join Paris Saint-Germain, but Neymar has never said that he wouldn’t join Chelsea. In fact, the Brazilian has been known to love the London lifestyle.

However, Chelsea probably won’t want to spend their funds too heavily. There’s no denying that Neymar holds a hefty price tag. I mean, he holds the record for most expensive transfer now, so imagine what another transfer would cost.

Neymar is mostly known for his work on the ball. His flicks and tricks have gained a mass following throughout his career, all stemming from his Brazilian roots. If he did join Chelsea, then it helps not only tactically but also on a marketing front. Could you imagine the number of shirts they would sell with Neymar’s name on the back?

The best option is obviously to keep hold of Hazard. That’s what the board will be looking to do. However, should the time come, they must be prepared with a shortlist of replacements, and this is only five.
