CB: Shkodran Mustafi – 7/10

Shkodran Mustafi proved everyone wrong today. He is always looked at as Arsenal’s scapegoat but he rarely put a foot wrong today. As part of a back-three, the German showed he knows what this derby means, consistently sticking tight to the Spurs attackers.

It was a fine display from Mustafi and it should give him plenty of confidence going forward into the festive period!

CB: Sokratis Papastathopoulos – 7/10

The Greece international is always reliable. I had a feeling he would thrive under such hostility, given the nature of his demeanour. When things started to get rough, Papastatopoulos showed his true colours, and he protected the Arsenal goal as if it was his child.

Thanks to Sokratis, Harry Kane’s only sniff of goal came from the penalty spot. It was his first North London derby, which is why it’s a surprise to see him as riled up as he was. Long may it continue…

CB: Rob Holding – 6.5/10

He gave away Spurs’ penalty, but come on, we all know it wasn’t a penalty. I’m kidding but it was harsh on Holding. He didn’t make much contact with Son Heung-Min.

Either way, he made up for his earlier error. He adjusted to the game well, and he always looked to push Arsenal forward courtesy of his work on the ball. He has shown in the past that a back-three suits him so it’s good to see Emery adapting to meet his needs.
