Left Back- Sergio Reguilon- 7/10

Sergio Reguilon did not have to do a lot of defensive work but he was ever present when the Real Madrid unit attacked. The left fullback showed signs of great pace and physical usage to shrug off challenges and supply balls into the box. Reguilon attacked well in the final third and it was a fairly functional display from the defender.

Centre Back- Sergio Ramos- 8/10

Sergio Ramos put in a very professional and captain like display against Saturday’s opponents. The Real Madrid captain kept Santi Mina’s threat at bay and used his experience and body to keep the young forward silent throughout the match. Ramos failed to check back on one of his man’s runs but he did track back with a delay and caught up.

Centre Back- Raphael Varane- 7/10

Raphael Varane was not called into action too many times, thanks to a very rare off night from his compatriot and former Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro. The France international was alert when the Valencia striker tried to threaten the Madrid goal, but that was on maybe one or two occasions throughout the course of the 90 minutes.

Right Back- Dani Carvajal- 8.5/10

Dani Carvajal’s attacking has stood out under Santiago Solari and it was another brilliant performance from the right-back followed up from the Roma game last week. The 26-year-old also defended really well against Goncalo Guedes down the right-hand side of Real Madrid. Carvajal played a huge role in both of the Whites’ goals.
