LB: Mattia De Sciglio

It’s looking more and more likely that Juventus will be missing Alex Sandro for the match against Inter Milan and that means that Mattia De Sciglio will be called upon against his former crosstown rivals. De Sciglio has been a solid defender in his appearances for Juventus, but where he has been lacking is in the attack. That is where Sandro will be missed most against Inter. There is also the matter of which side of the field De Sciglio will. Both he and Joao Cancelo have looked comfortable on both sides, with Cancelo taking the left back position against Fiorentina, but Juve might prefer to have Cancelo on the left because of the matchup on that side. Overall, he obviously isn’t Alex Sandro, but De Sciglio should certainly be an adequate replacement in this match.

RB: Joao Cancelo

With Alex Sandro out Juventus will need Joao Cancelo’s well rounded skill set as badly as ever. De Sciglio doesn’t quite offer the attacking ability that Sandro or Cancelo do and that means that Cancelo will need to pick up some his slack in that department. Not to worry though, when Cancelo makes his forward runs he looks more like a winger than a full back and will be capable of giving former Juve left back Kwadwo Asamoah trouble. He will also be called upon for a tough defensive assignment as he’ll be tasked with neutralizing Ivan Perisic. Fresh off of his selection to the Serie A Team of the Season, Cancelo will need to put in a performance worthy of the honor against his former club.
