Barcelona are monitoring another talented Brazilian from Everton

Barcelona has had a thing for Brazilian attackers over the last few years.
From Neymar to Philippe Coutinho, Barcelona fans are becoming admirers of the Brazilian roots. They sit top of La Liga currently, three points ahead of Sevilla in second. However, Ernesto Valverde is never happy until things are perfect so he’ll be looking ahead to the January transfer window.
According to the Daily Star, Barcelona officials are monitoring Richarlison of Everton. The 21-year-old has become a big hit in England over the last few seasons but this season looks to be his best yet.
Richarlison is ideal for Barcelona

Richarlison is very versatile, that’s what sticks out the most about him. His willingness to get inside the box and take a shot on makes him perfect for the striker role, however, he can also play out wide as this is his natural position. This season with Everton, he has played primarily as a striker but he’s looked better out on the left.
As he matures into a clinical striker, he could be the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez who isn’t getting any younger. Judging by recent reports, it would be assumed that Valverde is looking towards life without his Uruguayan.
Richarlison appears to be a mature player already. Watching him with Everton, it’s easy to make the assumption that he’s one of the more senior figures. This is because he’s learned a lot about English football and he can take that with him to La Liga should he land the dream move.
It will be tricky to persuade Everton
Here’s where things become difficult. Everton has no reason to sell Richarlison, he’s one of their star players. He is also tied under contract until 2023. That said, if Barcelona is to persuade Everton then they will need to offer a huge sum of money.
He is showing life under Marco Silva, which was also the case when the two worked together at Watford. It’s a love story that seems unbreakable but as we know, Barcelona isn’t the type to play it safe when it comes to breaking up working relationships.
I think Barcelona should definitely continue to monitor Richarlison. They’ll definitely discover that there’s a gem to be unearthed. His strong, never say never attitude will be a great addition to the Barca camp, watch this space.
Do you think Richarlison will move away from England any time soon?
