Real Madrid beat SD Huesca 1-0 at the Estadio El Alcoraz on Sunday evening to ensure fourth place in La Liga Santander, courtesy of Gareth Bale’s goal.

Real Madrid continued their upward surge in La Liga Santander with a slender 1-0 win over SD Huesca on Sunday evening. Gareth Bale scored the solitary goal of the match which was a volley of a fantastic cross into the box from Alvaro Odriozola on the eighth minute. The win now means that the Whites are into the top four of the league.

Santiago Solari’s charges kept a fifth clean sheet in his eighth match in charge of the club, whereas it was the manager’s seventh win at the helm. The 42-year-old’s side managed to keep a clean sheet as well, their first one away from home in the league since the start of the 2018/19 campaign. It was also the third successive one from Thibaut Courtois, who was called into action pretty often during the match.

By no way was the game a cakewalk for Los Blancos, who were made to slog in order to get the three points. However, it was the clinical touch in front of goal that made the difference and thankfully, the goal came from the man who needed it most- Gareth Bale. Here’s a look at how every Real Madrid player did.

Goalkeeper- Thibaut Courtois- 8/10

Thibaut Courtois played a very good game and succeeded in completing his mission of keeping a clean sheet away from home in the league. The Belgium international did so in some fashion as he was called into action regularly. Courtois made a number of wonderful saves which would have probably gone into the back of the net were it not for him.
