Defensive Midfielder- Marcos Llorente- 7/10

Marcos Llorente played yet another match in what was his seventh successive start under Santiago Solari. The 23-year-old had not been getting much recognition before but his recent outings have helped him in being a part of the limelight. On Saturday evening as well, Marcos Llorente put in a really good shift. While he was certainly not in the middle of a certain things, his positioning and sixth sense in the match helped the players around him in excelling and taking risks.

Right Midfielder- Luka Modric- 8/10

Luka Modric presented his Ballon d’Or to the Santiago Bernabeu faithful prior to kick-off and in spite of the debate surrounding his victory, the Croatia international justified that he did deserve to win the prestigious accolade. Modric was absolutely amazing in the centre of the park and dominated the right flank. His tricks, flicks and passing were a pure joy to watch and he three teamed with Lucas Vazquez and Dani Carvajal to cause innumerable worries for the Vallecano defenders.

Left Midfielder- Toni Kroos- 8.5/10

There were several questions which were being asked about the hunger and desire of the Real Madrid players over the last few matches, but one man who can be exempted from that blunt is undoubtedly Toni Kroos. The former Bayern Munich midfielder dazzled the midfield with yet another amazing display and was really unfortunate to not get a goal after seeing his shot rebound of the post. Kroos was arguably the best Real Madrid player on the pitch in the entirety of the match.
