Barcelona are just one signature away from signing Adrien Rabiot
With Paris Saint-Germain conceding to the fact that Adrien Rabiot will leave the club soon, Barcelona have been tipped as pole contenders for the Frenchman.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has officially seen the curtains come down on his career at the Parc de Princes with sporting director Antero Henrique confirming that the club will no longer hold contract talks with the Frenchman and allow him to depart the club at the end of this season given that there’s less than a year on Rabiot’s contract.
"“On this point, we will not continue negotiations (with Rabiot). It is a decision made by the club following numerous meetings in which Rabiot informed us that he will not sign a contract and that he wants to leave the club on a free at the end of the season.”"
Antero Henrique also confirmed that the player will now be an outcast from the first team and spend time on the bench indefinitely. Rabiot joined the club as a 15-year-old and after making 219 appearances for the Parisians, his career has imminently ended and he is only one signature away from signing with someone else.

Given that Adrien Rabiot is aged 23, he will leave the club for free in June 2019 and will legally be eligible to negotiate with the foreign entities.
Barcelona are being considered as the front runners in the quest to land the midfielder. The club has been interested in his signing since a long time now and they could finally come to an agreement with their prime target.
The Catalans see Rabiot as a successor to Andres Iniesta as well as Sergio Busquets given his versatility and quality. It would not come as a surprise if the Blaugrana are now willing to pay a few million and get the move done in January itself. However, they will face stern competition from the Premier League.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have all enquired about the player’s services earlier on and would be more than happy to see Rabiot arrive at the club for zero transfer fee in the summer of 2019.
Arsenal have imposed their authority over the transfer market over the last two windows and are potentially just one creative midfielder away from mounting a serious challenge for the Premier League under Unai Emery.
On the other hand, Liverpool have welcomed in a lot of big names and with James Milner nearing the dusk of his career, Adrien Rabiot could be the missing piece in their puzzle of finally conquering England. The Reds surely have the resources to bring him in.
And finally, Tottenham Hotspur are the other contenders. The north Londoners had not signed anybody in the last summer probably due to expenses toward their new stadium. However, they might finally bring in a big name after coming under pressure from the other Premier League teams who are challenging for similar goals.
