Twitter reacts as Manchester United part company with Jose Mourinho
Manchester United have officially announced that they have terminated Jose Mourinho’s contract after their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Manchester United announced on their official Twitter channel that they had parted ways with first-team boss Jose Mourinho. The Red Devils lie whey outside the top four and had won only one of their last six matches in the Premier League for which you have to go all the way back to early November.
The Red Devils’ loss to Liverpool at the Anfield last Sunday was their first defeat to the Merseysiders in a Premier League match since the 2013/14 season and a second successive one for the club who had also lost at Valencia in the Champions League last weekend. Lying in sixth place in the Premier League, the Red Devils have won only seven of their 17 matches this season, drawing and losing five each.
