Defensive midfielder-Harry Winks

Speaking of fresh-faced young players, Winks should be in line for another start on Wednesday. Not only does he have the physical skills required to thrive in this matchup, he also has a healthy dislike of Arsenal that should serve him well. Look for him to try to be the club’s emotional leader on the pitch in this edition of the North London Derby.

Defensive midfielder-Moussa Sissoko

It will be Sissoko’s job to serve a Winks’ protector in this match. He’ll use his braun to try to outmuscle whoever Emery selects to man his midfield. Don’t be surprised if Sissoko has a pop or two on goal in this match. His unwillingness to shoot against Burnley almost cost his club dearly.

Attacking midfielder-Christian Eriksen

The classy Dane rode in on his white stallion and saved Tottenham with a stoppage time goal against the Clarets. Pochettino won’t save him for the closing moments of this match. Instead, he’ll count on Eriksen to dominate from the opening whistle.

Attacking midfielder-Lucas Moura

In matches like this, sometimes the best player to select is the one who can score out of nothing. That’s precisely what Lucas offers Spurs. He’ll threaten Arsenal’s back line repeatedly on Wednesday. The question is whether or not he can receive that one through ball that gifts him a gilded-edge scoring opportunity.

Attacking midfielder-Dele Alli

Eriksen plays the role of hero, but Dele is much more comfortable as a villain. Pochettino will insert his “naughty” midfielder into this starting XI to stir up trouble and create scoring chances. Keeping the proper ratio will be crucial for the precocious Englishman.

Striker-Harry Kane

This would be a perfect match to play Tottenham’s young, up and coming backup striker. Alas, Pochettino doesn’t have such a player at his disposal. That makes Kane the right guy to deploy. Spurs fans should hope he doesn’t take any cheap shots from Arsenal defenders in this one.
