Manchester United: Michael Carrick schools Paul Pogba on how to behave
By Kian Long
Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has been an embarrassment lately.
Paul Pogba has every right to be egotistical. I mean, he’s one of the best players available to Manchester United. He was bound to be happy with Jose Mourinho being sacked, however, nobody is bigger than any club, especially the biggest club in the world.
He deleted a social media post right after the sacking of Mourinho. It was a picture of him smiling smugly with the caption “caption this.” Everybody knew what the caption was referring to, it didn’t take a genius to work out.
Now, according to The Sun, Pogba was caught shouting in celebration following the news. But club legend and current coach Michael Carrick stepped in to remind Pogba of his place, and that nobody is bigger than the club.
It’s best coming from Michael Carrick

Carrick has been through both the glory years and the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era. He knows more than anyone just how much this club means to people. That said, having him remind Pogba how to behave is a good sign for United fans because it shows there is still some element of seriousness about how the club is run.
Carrick is an example to any midfielder, especially playing for United. He spent a long time bossing the midfield in his own unique way. He is one of the best play dictators of his time, often spraying passes from right to left in the midfield. There’s a reason why the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney benefitted from his style of play.
Paul Pogba must do his talking on the pitch
Paul Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world but he isn’t showing it currently. With Mourinho being sacked, many including himself are stating that he will flourish. However, all this talk is no good if it comes with no walk.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is known to be a positive tactician. He likes to play an attacking style of play as opposed to a defensive one. That said, if Pogba really is special, then his shackles are now loose. I for one am excited to see how he plays under an attacking system.
Do you think Paul Pogba’s reaction is justified?
