In spite of the very recent managerial change at the Old Trafford, one Manchester United star may be heading for the exit door soon.

Manchester United parted ways with Jose Mourinho last week and announced his successor in club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils will play their first match under new management against relegation-threatened outfit Cardiff City in Wales. What is certain is that there will be big changes in the system at the club.

The Norwegian caretaker confirmed that the Red Devils will undertake a few transfer decisions in January and he will have a say in them. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport has now reported that there may be a star man’s exit from the Old Trafford with Marcus Rashford being on the radar of Italian giants AC Milan.

More from Manchester United

Rashford has not started many matches this season and has had his minutes being regulated of late. However, he was the silver lining in a dimly lit atmosphere at the Old Trafford when Manchester United was enduring tumultuous times under Jose Mourinho. Real Madrid had already been reported to have interest in Rashford and Milan are latest customers.

Initially, Manchester United have made it extremely clear that they will not be willing to listen to offers for players who are young and can constitute the core of their first team in the coming years. So that means that there is certainly no way in which they will be willing to let Rashford leave the club just yet.

If there is a continuity in Romelu Lukaku’s horrible form in front of goal, the Solskjaer may resort to benching him and playing the in-form Marcus Rashford at the heart of the front line. And as a result, there is clearly no way in which the England international will be leaving the club any time soon.

However, if there is a mutual conclusion on a very unlikely exit in the coming years between Man United and Marcus Rashford, then the Premier League giants will easily ask for a very hefty fee which could probably be in excess of 75 million pounds or even in nine-digit numbers depending on the player’s status and worth in the future.
