Real Madrid have to replace Cristiano Ronaldo and add a young player to their team over the coming transfer windows. That’s what they’re out to do!

Real Madrid are eyeing a move for one of Europe’s hottest footballing properties at the moment, Pablo Sarabia. The midfielder finds himself on the books of Sevilla at the moment and has only 18 months left on his contract at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Sarabia is yet to discuss terms with his club over a transfer, but the vultures are already circling around him.

More from Real Madrid

One of those clubs who are closely monitoring the player’s situation is Real Madrid, according to AS. Los Blancos have a history of adding midfielders to their squad and creative players like Pablo Sarabia will always be welcome into the team. Moreover, his release clause of 18 million euros is cheap considering the inflated market at the moment.

Luka Modric is ageing and has also been linked with Inter Milan and Isco’s future at Real Madrid is under white lights at least until Santiago Solari is at the helm. Sarabia can be a very nice replacement for either players and his stats provide backing to that. In 27 official appearances this season across all competitions, he has scored 15 times (more than any Real Madrid player) and provided eight assists.

There are two things which could help Real Madrid in getting the edge over any other team in getting in Pablo Sarabia. The first and very important one is the 26-year-old’s relationship and close friendship with Los Blancos’ right full back Dani Carvajal. The two are fast friends and spent the Christmas Break together as well. Dani could be bait in bringing Sarabia to Madrid.

The second thing that could tilt the balance in favour of Real Madrid is Pablo Sarabia’s previous association with the Whites. Sarabia played the earlier part of his football with Real Madrid’s junior teams and spent six years with the European champions. He also has one appearance for the first team under his belt from 2009.

The playmaker has a lot of goals in his game and he has been directly involved in 23 goals in this campaign. That makes him a very hot prospect for Real Madrid to sign in and on top of that, he can prove to be an utter steal at just 18 million euros.
