Predicted Juventus lineup vs Bologna: Quest for 5th straight Coppa Italia title begins
By John Vaccaro
Juventus has won the last 4 Coppa Italia finals and now they will start their pursuit of a 5th in a row.
This season they’ve made domestic competitions look like a mere formality as they have dominated Serie A. They currently sit atop the Serie A table with a 9 point cushion between them and Napoli. They have yet to lose a match in the league and have only settled for 2 draws. It has been one of the most dominant displays in recent memory.
Bologna hasn’t been quite as impressive this season. They are in 18th place in the league with a lowly 13 points and they haven’t won a match in Serie A since September. Their last win in all competitions came in their last Coppa Italia when they beat the 18th place team in Serie B, Crotone, at the beginning of December.
For this match we will see an unfamiliar Juventus lineup. Mario Mandzukic, Joao Cancelo, and Juan Cuadrado are all unavailable because of injury, there is chance that Miralem Pjanic will be as well, and there are a few more players who will likely be rotated for the match. It’s likely that Juve will still use their usual 4-3-3 formation in spite of their rotations. However, they will need a few different players than usual to step up in this match.
