Left Back- Jordi Alba- 8/10

Jordi Alba was doing a good job throughout the evening and made sure that Eibar’s creative danger in Fabian Orellana was kept quiet and remained at bay throughout. In fact, Orellana never even got into Barcelona’s box during open play and that was due to Alba keeping him penned back. Alba did not do much while attacking, but his primary duty is defending.

Centre Back- Clement Lenglet- 7/10

Clement Lenglet was not called into much action throughout the night, mainly because Eibar were playing with only one striker in Sergi Enrich and he only attacked down Gerard Pique’s side. Nonetheless, the French defender made some good clearances and won duels against several of Eibar’s men. He will continue to be first choice until Umtiti gets back to fitness.

Centre Back- Gerard Pique- 8/10

Gerard Pique was amazing for Barcelona on Sunday evening. The Spaniard gave absolutely no breathing room to Sergi Enrich and used his physique well to keep the Eibar striker at bay. Pique will be starting against Levante in the midweek Copa del Rey clash as Barcelona look to turn a goal’s deficit. A similar performance would be expected of him.

Right Back- Sergi Roberto- 8/10

Sergi Roberto was chosen over Nelson Semedo to play as the right back and he certainly did not let down playing there. The Spain international did a superb job whilst defending and kept Barcelona’s loaned player at Eibar in Marc Cucurella at bay. Roberto’s quick thinking helped him get an assist from a throw-in as he set up Luis Suarez’s second goal of the night.
