Juventus player ratings vs Milan: Ronaldo ends Supercoppa drought
By John Vaccaro
Emre Can 6/10
Emre Can didn’t offer much as a substitute in this match, but as usual Juventus was already protecting a lead when they began to bring subs on. His most important moment in the match was nearly a disastrous one as he was likely fortunate not to give up a penalty late in the match. Can hasn’t done much to earn his huge salary this season and these substitute appearances haven’t really done much to change that.
Sami Khedira 6/10
On Wednesday we got to see a wild Sami Khedira in his natural habitat. He came on for about 7 minutes in a match Juventus was leading and controlling with very little actually at stake. He wasn’t asked to do much of anything once he was brought on, but this is exactly the type of role Juve should keep the declining midfielder in.
Federico Bernardeschi 6/10

Bernardeschi was unfortunately never rewarded for his impressive performances early in the season so now it appears he will spend the rest of this season as he spent the first half of it. He will come on late in matches to kill time as Juve holds onto a lead. Due to the circumstances of his substitution there wasn’t much for him to do upon his arrival as he only actually had 5 touches in the match.
Massimiliano Allegri 9/10
It wasn’t the prettiest win, but Massimiliano Allegri got the job done with the team he had available. Losing Mandzukic for any period of time is difficult with this current Juventus squad, but Allegri started a squad that did eventually manage to find the back of the net. His substitutions were mostly inconsequential as Juventus already held a lead, but getting Emre Can playing time is very important as Juve is heavily invested in him and needs to give him the chance to turn into the player they thought they were getting this summer.
Overall, Juve will be glad just to have won the Supercoppa again, but Allegri will need to find a solution to his striker issue while Mandzukic is recovering.
