Barcelona target Neymar wanted by a familiar friend from the Premier League
Barcelona are plotting a transfer to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou. While Real Madrid are customers for him as well, a very unlikely suitor has emerged.
Brazil international Neymar Jr. signed for Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona on a world record transfer fee of 220 million pounds in August 2017. The forward was brought in by the Parisians to bid for the UEFA Champions League, but Neymar has not been their answer to it and even though he wanted to get out of Leo Messi’s at Barcelona, he has fallen behind the magnificent Mbappe at the Parc de Princes.

Less than two years since his signing, Neymar has also started to formulate his exit from the French capital and that might be completed by this summer as well. Real Madrid have been linked with a transfer for the 26-year-old since Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit and a dazzling return to Barcelona is on the cards as well. The player has realized he going to a rather uncompetitive Ligue 1 has taken a hilt on his game.
While the two Spanish superpowers are being spoken about as a probable destination for Neymar, Don Balon claims that defending Premier League champions Manchester City have joined the hunt for the former Barcelona and Santos forward. The Citizens’ manager in Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of the Brazilian and believes that he can add a lot of value to their already strong and lethal squad.
Neymar is the biggest advertisement and publicity model in the footballing world alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, so the Emirati owned club has also given that a thought and feels that Neymar could be a good investment for its gains off the pitch as well. Khaldoon Al Mubarak is apparently ready to dish out a sum of 100 million euros, but since Barcelona could match that, the City chairman is willing to give Gabriel Jesus, thereby making the deal worth 120 million.
Neymar could be at a bigger benefit if he opts for Manchester City because Pep Guardiola’s playing style will really help him excel. While he may struggle to initially meet with the physicality in the Premier League and even England as a whole, he will be bound into a better player and with the kind of team that Man City have at this point in time, Neymar could be the missing piece of the puzzle between them and the Champions League. He could also win a Ballon d’Or through domestic achievements.
Between Manchester City and Barcelona, which is the better move from Neymar’s perspective?
