Midfielder- Isco Alarcon- 7/10

Isco Alarcon was finally let off the bench in the latter stages of the match as Real Madrid began showing urgency in order to claim the three points. The former Malaga midfielder added a slightly more attacking flare to the match in comparison with Lucas Vazquez. Isco was not involved in many attacks as he needed some time to settle into the match, but there was a moment in which he was involved in the build-up for Real Madrid’s second goal scored by Luka Modric.

Midfielder- Federico Valverde- Not Available

Federico Valverde is one of Santiago Solari’s favourite fringe players. The Uruguay international has been playing a lot of games since the Argentine coach’s arrival at the helm and he got yet another run, this time versus Sevilla. Valverde has been playing some good football of late, but he came very late on in the match and there was not much of note to talk about him. He is likely to feature in the Copa del Rey match against Girona from the start.

Manager- Santiago Solari- 7.5/10

Santiago Solari did a good job to ensure that his side gets the win. Picking Reguilon over Marcelo was a debatable option, especially because Marcelo is the world’s best left back and can add a lot more attacking threat to the team than Reguilon. Giving Isco a few minutes was a nice decision, but I failed to understand why he did not make a third substitution and even kept his first substitute out of the match until the final 15 or 20 minutes. Solari is going to be questioned a lot by the Madrid fans and media over the season, so he should keep legit answers ready.
