GK: Mattia Perin
Juventus had an opportunity to get Mattia Perin some playing time last week when they faced Bologna in the Coppa Italia. Unfortunately they squandered that opportunity, but now they get a chance to make it up to him on Monday. Juventus may have made things look more difficult than they should have the first time around against Chievo, but I don’t think Allegri will be particularly worried about that this time. Perin should get the start and it’s a good chance for him to start a new clean sheet streak after Fabio Quagliarella ruined the last one.
LB: Alex Sandro
Alex Sandro has once again been Serie A’s best left back this season. He has continuously played well and was especially important during Joao Cancelo’s absence. Juve’s attack has struggled at times, but the efforts of Sandro and Cancelo have helped to bolster the attack when they are struggling. He has also been as stout as ever on the defensive end and absolutely dominated Milan on Wednesday. Juve appears to bringing in some reinforcements to give Sandro the occasional break, but this is his spot without a doubt.
RB: Mattia De Sciglio
Mattia De Sciglio performed admirably during Joao Cancelo’s month-long absence and now he’ll be asked to give Cancelo a day off on Monday. Cancelo likely wasn’t fully ready to return when he appeared against Milan and Juve will want to be as careful as possible with his injury to make sure he is available for the biggest matches of the year. De Sciglio’s performances this year give them that freedom. He should have chances to contribute to the attack against Chievo and we can expect him to perform well on the defensive end.
