Twitter reacts as Tottenham snatch dramatic late winner at Fulham
The best reactions from Twitter as Tottenham grab a 93rd minute winner at Craven Cottage.
Well, Guy Richie would have been proud of that script. All the pre match talk was about whether Fernando Llorente could ably deputize in Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son’s absence, and the long limbed striker found the back of the net after just 17 minutes. Unfortunately, it was his own net and Tottenham trailed at the break after a sterile and uninspiring first half performance.
But the threadbare side showed dogged determination to fight back in the second. Christian Eriksen, unsurprisingly, was the architect of the equalizer; and even more unsurprisingly, Dele Alli claimed it thanks to a ghosting run at the back post.
Then, disaster struck. Dele, who has proven Tottenham’s go-to in Kane’s absence this season, went down holding his hamstring. He limped off and was replaced by Spurs’ forgotten man, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
As the clock passed 90 and it looked like Tottenham was heading for its first draw of the campaign, N’Koudou whipped in one final ball. Sergio Rico remained rooted to the Fulham goal line and pint-sized Harry Winks, who hadn’t scored since his first league goal 792 days ago, got his head on it to give Spurs the points. Unbelievable Jeff!

Let’s start with the tweets of the evening, that came from N’Koudou (who, incidentally, hadn’t tweeted since his last goal in a pre-season friendly back in August).

Tottenham’s injured striker was also delighted with the win and for the other home-grown Harry.

And as usual there was plenty wit, sarcasm, and a little match analysis from the Tottenham faithful.

Tottenham fans will soon sober up from the evening’s euphoria as they prepare for Thursday night’s encounter versus Chelsea without another key man.
Maurizio Sarri’s men will hope to bounce back after yesterday’s dismal display against Arsenal and, one way or another, I have a sneaky feeling more fireworks are in store.
