Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho needs to get his future sorted quickly, especially if it is going to reliant on another of his teammates.

Barcelona have too many superstars in their squad at this moment and spending hefty amounts of cash in signing multiple players was going to backfire for the Catalans. The situation surrounding Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele is messed up at this point in time, but either one of them has to leave the club to get regular playing time.

More from FC Barcelona

Barcelona purchased Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool last winter for 142 million pounds, but are now willing to let go of the Brazil international for 100 million pounds, as per reports. Chelsea have already enquired about the availability of his services as they seek to replace the possibly outgoing Eden Hazard, while Manchester United are in the race as well.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has managed to deliver the results, but his squad still requires reinforcements and Coutinho’s proposed arrival at the Old Trafford could rest on one of Barcelona’s very players and it is none other than Ousmane Dembele. Since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, he has had a mixed feedback.

However, Dembele has emerged as a red-hot player this season in spite of his disciplinary issues while Philippe Coutinho has struggled to adapt to life just yet. The France international has been ruled out for 15 days now, but that has not come without him already scoring 12 times so far this season, a lot ahead of Coutinho.

That being said, Coutinho looks like the obvious player to leave Barcelona right now given his situation at the club. However, whether Barcelona get ready to sell him immediately remains a question and moreover, Philippe Coutinho’s past association with Liverpool may be a more than enough factor to already put his Manchester United transfer out of question.

If I were Philippe Coutinho, I would definitely leave Barcelona because Ousmane Dembele is much better at this moment and has shown no signs of slowing down. Moreover, the Brazil international has absolutely no chance of outdoing Arthur at left midfield because even the former Gremio man has done a tremendous job.
