ST: Cristiano Ronaldo 5/10

This was a terrible day for Cristiano Ronaldo. In fact, it was probably his worst match yet with Juventus. He struggled to really make an impact throughout the match and took a few disappointing shots. He also failed to really create much for his teammates. Obviously the low point of the match was his penalty kick in the second half. It was well struck, but Sorrentino still managed to make the save. Sorrentino will have been glad to get some payback after Ronaldo just about unalived him in the season opener, but Ronaldo’s first penalty miss of his Juve career was a disappointment. Luckily, it came at a time where it didn’t really matter much, but he’ll have wanted to add to his goal tally when served up an opportunity on a silver platter. Juve will need him to be better against Lazio.

ST: Paulo Dybala 8.5/10

As has been the case all season, Paulo Dybala once again looked much better playing in a tandem up front. He ended up with two assists in the match, even though his pass to Costa didn’t really do much to create his goal. His pass to Can was perfect and made it easy for the midfielder to score his first goal of his Juve career. We’ve seen all season that Dybala is at his best when played alongside another striker and it’s something Allegri should consider until Mandzukic returns. It would be nice to get to see this version of Dybala for the next few weeks.
