2. Arsenal already has one of the world’s best playmakers

Denis Suarez acts as the link between midfield and attack. That sounds familiar doesn’t it, Arsenal fans? When Mesut Ozil had that role under Arsene Wenger, he was at his best. In fact, the Gunners even saw glimpses of this against Leicester earlier in the season.

For some reason, Unai Emery has refused to give Ozil much game time lately. He came on as a substitute against Manchester United but big deal, he should have been starting the match anyway. There’s a reason why Arsenal struggled to gain much momentum in that match.

I don’t know why Emery wants to sign Denis Suarez. Perhaps he just likes the look of him and what he can bring to the team. But if he wishes to sign him just to prove a point to Ozil, then he needs to be stopped. Ozil has done nothing wrong and he should be starting games week in, week out.

When you have a player with such immense talent, why not use him? I mean, it would save spending money on Denis Suarez and it would also make use of the extortionate wages which Arsenal are currently paying Ozil.

Since dropping Ozil, the Gunners’ overall play has suffered detrimentally. The players just don’t seem as energised as they once were. I know, Ozil has missed out a large part through injury and illness, but even when he did play, Arsenal looked ten times better. Sort it out, Emery. You’re better than that.
