CM: Miralem Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic was unavailable for last weekend’s match against Chievo Verona, but he should be back in the starting lineup against Lazio in spite of a calf injury. His last appearance was one of his most impressive of the season as he dropped an absolute dime over the top of the Milan defense to set Ronaldo up for the only goal of the match. Juve will be hoping he can recreate that magic as they chase yet another win over a top 7 team.

CM: Blaise Matuidi

Blaise Matuidi played one of his best matches of the season when Juventus met Lazio in August, making 7 tackles in the match. He’ll be hoping to recreate that effort after having a couple of rather easy matches over the last week and a half. Matuidi’s contribution at Juve mostly amounts to his defensive effort and I’m sure he’ll be looking forward to another shot at a team he has already played so well against.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur will likely make a return to the Juve starting lineup against Lazio after coming off the bench for the Chievo match because of an injury. He wasn’t included in the first match against Lazio, but he has absolutely taken over this spot in the midfield since that match. With Aaron Ramsey reportedly set to join the squad this summer Bentancur will need to continue to impress against teams like Lazio if he wants to keep his hold on this spot. Juve has been moving away from using young players recently, but the way Bentancur has played this season should have them rethinking their position.
