Predicted Juventus lineup vs Lazio: Juve can extend Serie A lead to double digits
By John Vaccaro
LW: Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is coming off of his worst performance yet as a member of Juventus. There was only one moment where he was a real threat to score against Chievo and he wasted that moment when his penalty kick was saved by Stefano Sorrentino. It was his first penalty he failed to convert as a member of Juventus and he’ll be looking to make fans forget about the match as a whole against Lazio. The last time Juventus played Lazio was during Ronaldo’s way overblown goal drought so he will have a little bit of extra motivation to get a goal and pull himself closer to Fabio Quagliarella atop the scoring list.
ST: Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala has one of his best Serve A performances of the year against Chievo when he was started in a strike partnership with Ronaldo, but in this match he will likely be asked to return to the lone striker role in a 4-3-3. He has looked completely out of place no matter where he has played in that formation and has been much better when Juve partners him with another striker, but the team as a whole has been better in the 4-3-3. Juve struggled against Lazio last season when they used a 2-man midfield, but played very well against them earlier in the year when they switched to a 3-man midfield. This should mean Dybala will be stuck out of place for another match. He’ll need to start performing better while Mario Mandzukic is missing or he could lose his starting spot when Mandzukic returns.
RW: Douglas Costa
If Douglas Costa’s performance against Chievo didn’t lock down a consistent spot in the starting lineup then I don’t know what will. He was dangerous throughout the match and had an absolutely incredible goal. His pace has been a nightmare for every team he has faced this season and it should continue to be as long as he is deployed on the right wing. He has looked great when Juve has given him chances lately and has been a far superior option to Paulo Dybala.
Hopefully Massimiliano Allegri remembers that when Mandzukic reclaims his spot in this lineup.
