LW: Federico Bernardeschi 7/10

Federico Bernardeschi’s performance in the match against Atalanta was the only one that could be considered even remotely positive. The rare occasions where Juve’s attack did anything positive it was created by a Bernardeschi cross. He wasn’t great and couldn’t get Juventus on the scoresheet, but on a day full of negatives he’s the only player who doesn’t belong in that category.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo 5.5/10

Matches like this have always been why I consider Lionel Messi the world’s greatest player and not Cristiano Ronaldo. Whereas Messi constantly finds ways to get involved and has the passing range to open up opportunities for his teammates, Ronaldo has a tendency to disappear in matches where his team can’t provide him with consistent service. This match was no difference as Ronaldo was completely unable to pick the team up when they were struggling. He was brought in to win trophies and now he has already failed to bring home the first leg of the treble Juve has been craving.

RW: Paulo Dybala 6/10

I don’t know how much explanation this one really needs at this point in the season. Paulo Dybala isn’t a good right wing. In fact, he’s flat-out bad at it. At this point in the season he has only managed to provide one assist and has not scored a goal when deployed as a wing in spit of playing a ton of minutes on the right wing. He looks consistently lost when playing out on the wing and it’s time for Juventus to just give up on this experiment. Mario Mandzukic comes back this weekend and the starting lineup the rest of the way should be Mandzukic, Ronaldo, and Costa.  Also, if Juve plans to stick with the 4-3-3 next season (which they absolutely should) then this summer is the time for Juve to get whatever money they can for Dybala.
