The disappointments keep coming for Juventus.

At first it looked like Juve had shaken off the two bad performances from last week, but that relief was short-lived. Juve came out and looked like the team we had seen all year. They put the pressure on Parma and controlled the match. Their makeshift defense wasn’t even a factor in the first half as Parma could barely get the ball over midfield. This dominance eventually led to a breakthrough when Ronaldo scored while falling down in the 36th minute. The match would head to halftime at 1-0, but the action was far from over.

Juventus would score the next goal as well when Cristiano Ronaldo headed a Mario Mandzukic cross to Daniele Rugani who scored his 2nd goal 2019. Unfortunately for Juve, this wouldn’t be enough. Parma struck next when Juraj Kucka was given too much space on the left wing and sent in a cross to a wide open Antonino Barilla.

Juve answered back when Ronaldo got his head to another Mandzukic cross, but this time he put it in the back of the net himself. After that things got messy for Juve. In the 74th minute Martin Caceres failed to close down Kucka who sent in a cross that Gervinho back heeled off of Rugani and into the net. Then disaster truly struck when Mario Mandzukic had the ball in the corner with stoppage time winding down. Instead of just allowing the ball to go out of bounds or launching it down the field, he lobbed it toward his own penalty area, eventually allowing Gervinho to get a second goal and an equalizer. The match would end 3-3 and continue a rough stretch for Juventus.

GK: Mattia Perin 4.5/10

Mattia Perin has officially had his first bad day with Juventus.  The 3 goals he allowed against Parma is the most he has allowed with his new team and the equalizer he allowed was particularly bad. The shot came from in close and had some pace behind it, but it was shot directly at him and he managed to get both hands on it. He should have been able to make that save and his inability to cost Juventus 2 points. There’s a little bit more space between him and Szczesny now.
