Juventus player ratings vs Parma: Now it’s time to worry
By John Vaccaro
Federico Bernardeschi 6/10
Well that’s not what Juve needed. Federico Bernardeschi came on for Douglas Costa at halftime, but ended up having an even shorter day than the Brazilian. Bernardeschi will now be added to a growing list of Juve injuries as they limp towards the impending match against Atletico Madrid. Bernardeschi played alright before exiting, but was the second best of the 2 right wings that played against Parma. Hopefully he’ll recover quickly.
Rodrigo Bentancur 6/10

Rodrigo Bentancur did a decent job during his short appearance for Juve. He completed all of his passes while he was on the field and helped out a bit on defense. There wasn’t really much else for him to do once he came on and there wasn’t much he could’ve done to prevent the goal that was scored during his time in the match. Hopefully he’s back in the starting lineup next weekend.
Emre Can Inc.
It was a very short appearance for Can and not one that much can be drawn from. He came on late as a substitute for Bernardeschi and was a part of the failed attempt to hold the lead. There wasn’t really much to this one for Can.
Manager: Massimiliano Allegri 8/10
As disappointing as the final score of this match was, it’s hard to put too much of the blame on Massimiliano Allegri. He really can’t be blamed for the poor play of a defense he is stuck with or really bad errors from his veteran players that should know better. In fact, the only issue I really had with the lineup he put out there was the fact that Sami Khedira started. Normally I’d be okay with giving Khedira a start against teams like Parma, but not when the team’s center backs are Caceres and Rugani. Other than that I thought the attack looked great, due in large part to the fact that he finally started Costa over Paulo Dybala. When the squad is back to full strength that change will be the final piece Juve needs to get the best out of this year’s team.
Hopefully Allegri sticks with that change.
