Barcelona’s transfer activity could end up benefiting Real Madrid in their quest of signing Kylian Mbappe during the summer transfer window this year.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are fierce rivals on the pitch and something as bitter as theirs definitely goes off the pitch too, into the presidential offices or the transfer windows. However, the rumour has it that the Catalans could be of some help to the Whites during the summer transfer window via their business and Paris Saint-Germain would be involved.
The French giants possess Neymar, whose future at the club is unclear. A transfer to Real Madrid is on the cards whereas a blockbuster return to Barcelona has not been cancelled out either. However, the Brazil international is already trying to convince the Parisians into making signings with suggestions that he might end up staying.

Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona back in 2017, but that may not be the end of deals between the two European clubs. Apparently, Ivan Rakitic is also planning to move to Paris whereas Neymar wants to unite with his compatriot Philippe Coutinho at the Parc de Princes from the 2019/20 campaign.
The former Inter Milan winger has struggled to adapt to life at Barcelona, especially in the 2018/19 campaign and has succumbed to Ousmane Dembele’s competition. He plays a good game and disappears for the next three, so consistency is obviously a problem which must not exist for a player who was signed for 160 million euros.
In case Barcelona are ready to cash in on Philippe Coutinho, then Paris Saint-Germain would once again be falling under the UEFA’s Financial Fair Play radar thereby being forced into selling either Neymar or Mbappe. While Neymar will happily stay in case of Coutinho’s arrival, the ex-Liverpool forward might inherit the number 7 jersey and could end Mbappe’s time in Paris.
Real Madrid have already shown interest in signing the 20-year-old World Cup winner. The Whites are still downright into signing him, especially after his consistent exploits this season and during Russia 2018 as well. Paris Saint-Germain will be asking for 280 million euros in order to get rid of their priced asset, but Florentino Perez is ready to open his check book for the big man.
Who will benefit the most in case this transfer domino falls through during the summer?
